Genuinely terrifying at points, due to a mix of the sound effects, music and how well they managed to keep the atmosphere the same if not better than the original. I've played many horror games over the years and find that after a few hours you kind of become comfortable with what to expect. Silent Hill 2 is different, just as you start becoming comfortable the difficulty seems to bump up just the perfect amount so you never get comfortable and feel on edge throughout,
Full of creepy sounds, music, enemies and visuals , but if that's not enough, jump scares catch you out of nowhere due to Enemy AI.
Literally can't turn a corner without being on edge because you're either gonna get scared shitless or you think you might possibly be looking at something you can't quite make out in the gloom or fog that's gonna scare you at any second.
Overall really enjoyed this game. Dialogue isn't the greatest but that's how it was in the original.
Oh and good luck in Toluca prison. You'll need it.
