Style over substance, could have done this is one film, terrible lines, slow paced, predictable plot, unlikeable character development. Pointless love scenes and slow motion shots.

I absolutely loved it, I'm on my second view and it grabs you by the balls, with its hard hitting scenes, catchy soundtrack, and great acting. Ignore the doom mongers this is going down in history as a absolute classic. Don't miss it

Absolutely awlful film in the series which is surprising as it's directed by John boorman of Excalibur fame and stars the great Richard Burton who surely did this purely for the money. Where to start..attrocious score, cheesy,reminds me of 70s porn, Linda Blair overacts her sweet socks off if you can call it acting.Burton goes through the motions with dollar signs in his eyes, terrible effects, terrible story, rubbish ending. Probably one of the worse films I have seen. Thankfully the exorcist 3 directed by blatty and starring George C. Scott redeems itself with one of the most chilling moments in horror, I won't spoil it but it's a far superior film, in my opinion it has more chills than the original . My advice give the heretic a miss.

Two hours of my life wasted on pretentious garbage that trys to be something it isn't.

Because the cast and especially overacted actor Butler mumbled incoherence most of the time we gave it 20 minutes and gave up. Why can't actors speak clearly, why does the soundtrack always dominate the speech? Go back to film school boys .
