Is this flawless? No. Unnecessary drama, that is a tool to keep the story evolving. But what would this be without it? Two people laying in a room for 50 days. I wrote a thought experiment, i designed many years ago now, which this film is essentially based upon. Imagine a room, an empty room, and you find yourself in it. You have no needs, not knowing what is outside or inside, till you need senses to recognize something or nothing. As a musician, i used this to express a question about structure and formality in society. If you were given a guitar, having never heard music. Would you play it? Would you know how to tune it? How would you tune it? Would you inevitably design music theory as it is today or would you invent your own? Or would you never touch it and never realize what it is for... it could be simply an object to admire, or if you are deaf, something to wonder about as the strings move. N you may never even recognize you are missing a sensory organ. Over the years. Ive used it in countless way to dissect philosophically, what it means to be human, cognitive, to exist.. “i am” So to see a film so direct in a projection of humanity today. It really helps people analyze quickly, that what we need is far more complex than sustaining life.

Id give it 3.5 stars but im rounding up. This film is sorely over rated to me. You spend 2 hours 22 minutes waiting for this master assassin to miss his shot... you wonder more about what he has done that was actually successful. So in all, they spend the time puffing up someone that cant pull it off. But if you want a slow paced, methodical film that is relatively pointless in the end, its good if you have the patience for this sort of film. That classic 70’s audio that can be obnoxious to your ears. Great sets that are out of date and left to human history. Luckily the new mini series delivers the bang for its buck you wished this film was all along.

Surprisingly good, considering im not a fan of eddie redmayne after what he did to harry potter... he also cant seem to close his mouth which annoys me to no end. This series is a modern take on the classic, which i find relentlessly boring. Yet, given all its weaknesses here, with the filler side stories, and predictable or unnecessary drama. It keeps coming back to a jackal that is almost james bond, or almost the hitman. It almost has you rooting for the villains. Eddie’s performance grows by episode, and you start understand the jackal’s cleverness. Finally, after the hype and wonder of the original film, that ends in such a stock tomfoolery, we can see his supposed 200 iq and expert skills being used. At its heart is a decent spy show, with vintage vibes and modern tech.

After loving the original. Train to busan is nearly a masterpiece. This is absolutely disappointing. The cgi is utterly atrocious. No development of characters, and it just skips to two women in a car basically... there is a sequence of getting money? Though this is clearly post civilization. I couldnt even tolerate 45 minutes. . The lead cast is just as bad as using his suppressed rifle to launch zombies with bullets... i just skipped to a random scene, and mr long hair hero grabs girl and hides like a suspicious hero... its truly terrible For a film trying to keep the train to busan name in its title, its every bit of a name drop like you expected. Just a name drop to gain attention.

One of the best zombie movies. It still uses practical effects, unlike the sequel, and is a classic small set, achieve big things film. It manages great tension and though a linear development for being trapped on a train, it is palpable. A unique twist i always wondered about were eyes. When a human dies. Their eyes rot quickly, and yet every zombie film, they have eagle vision. Here? The zombies lose sense in the darkness, and you would assume they can only respond to specific dulled stimuli. I imagine they see shadows and inconsistent movement, which is why they travel and stay in packs together. The virus is similar to world war z rage virus type zombies, and i honestly, think they should blend the two... the cast is fantastic and moving. You can bond with them through their personas and development. Its one of the few zombie films i look forward to seeing again after a period of time.

Its rare to get small set zombie films that arent repulsive. Many of which are fond in memory and become cult classics. Not every zombie movie can be a blockbuster and the genre is well tapped. This one is cheesy at times, especially offering the girl next door during the zombie apocalypse thing... but the struggle of people trying to survive is well portrayed with a cultural twist to koreans. The make up was fantastic at parts, and the pace good. Its a decent b rated small set zombie movie that doesnt necessarily offer more but hits a niche that is enjoyable at times from its simplicity. Two survivors in their apartments trying to hold out.

Summary says, “an unsolvable crime” not a montage crime into a comfortable state of sitcom crime dramas that ran their course with csi and every spin off imaginable.... also the main the character looks like a prostitute, which challenges a person’s perception of intelligence. Its kind of like a reverse blond joke here. I was hoping it would spin and twist from the pilot, but instead rushes into nash bridges

HOW COULD A CAST LIKE THIS PULL OFF SUCH A BAD RATING?! The film thinks itself too artistic with little depth or pursuit. I could barely stand 30 minutes of it. Adam driver’s intro is his own psychic ability to control time and i found it lazy. He just says, “time, stop”... then there is some press conference, that all i could hear were camera flashes going on and some reason i got motion sickness, maybe it was the sounds, or the film style. Its has really strange colors and offered little to nothing. Even trying to openly display a dystopian world akin to our, it went right to the point. Too eager to express something wrong with ourselves. It completely failed to capture my attention.

Absolute garbage. First ten minutes is a nonsensical car crash, and i was instantly put off. Then i decided to scan through the film. 44 minutes in was the exact slow pace. That the scene of feeding a cat was as if i never skipped through the film. I skipped every ten minutes till the end and never saw a zombie. Also its in spanish?? This is how bad it is: At one scene, where i finally saw some zombies. Its this group walking across a loading dock area with a fence surrounding some zombies. A zombie finds them, having hid behind a shelving unit, and a man and a little girl hide in a storage closet. Someone shoots a machine gun and the bullet holes are right in front of the guy. So basically, he should have been shot but wasnt
