I'm a fan of Korean cinema. I think they are quite good, but I have noticed a trend throughout the ones I've watched which is puzzling to me is the lifting up of western ( white) things. People, styles, trends, schools, etc.. I've seen it a lot, but yesterday I saw the most egregious form of this. In Voice S1-E6 at the 45:22 mark, Officer Oh tries to impress Officer Park by quoting a piece of 'western wisdom'. He quotes:
"A person who trusts no one can't be trusted" Jerome Blattner (21st century AD)
When it is obvious to someone that knows, that Mr. Blattner copied and plagiarized the much older source of this wisdom.
Tao Te Ching v. 23 " He who does not trust enough, will not be trusted. " Lao Tse (6th century BC)
Y'all need to stop deifying and uplifting a culture that is rife with global murder, genocide, slavery, and theft. You can do better.
