I give the movie a 3 1/2 star rating. Not as good as the first one, however, was still a nice departure from all the comic book movies that everyone wants to see. I imagine that the reason its getting so many bad reviews is because people were maybe expecting a more comic book approach, but it was not. I also feel that because it has a musical element to it that it did not sit well with the audience. Lady Gaga did an excellent job of being a believable Harley Quinn. Phoenix did a great job as he always seems to do in his movies. Remember that this is a more realistic film and a departure from the DC or MCU films. I also have an opinion that the director, Todd Phillips, did not want to make this a franchise because of the ending(Spoiler) which honestly I did not like. I would’ve liked a different ending but understood why it had to happen like it did.

Highlander 2(both versions)is probably one of the stupidest and most terrible sequels to any movie that was once a cult success and then plummeted into obscurity, especially with a lackluster franchise that struggled to make itself relevant over the years. The TV series was a nice attempt to reclaim that relevancy, yet it too faded into obscurity and we have not seen anything of the Highlander since. So, with that being said. I recommend that you just watch the first Highlander Movie and then just convince yourself that there were not any more movies made and Highlander ended there.

This show does not go on the original premise of Cloak and Dagger. I used to have these comics from 1983-85 and at the time I thought they were pretty cool. The original character storyline is way more interesting than this teeny bopper soap opera drama. The original character storyline is that Dagger comes from privilege and Cloak comes from the streets,BOTH are teen runaways and drug addicts(there is more to the story but you get the jist) anyway they are lured and kidnapped by the underlings of the mafia drug lord "Silvermane" and, along with other runaway teen addicts, they are experimented on with synthetic and experimental drugs. The drugs kill everyone except those 2 and they manage to escape and the experiments mutate them and give them the powers they have. Dagger can shoot daggers of pure light that stun and immobilize you and if you are a drug addict and get hit with them it cleans you out and gives you a second chance. Cloaks powers are that he is able to cast a cloak of darkness around you totally enveloping you in darkness and cold and as if you are falling,,it renders you immobilized and paralyzed and will ALSO clean you out if you happen to be an addict and THAT was the whole deal with them both. They become vigilantes going after the drug mafia underworld and at the same time rescuing drug addicted runaway teens etc. In the comics they have run ins with Spiderman,,Daredevil and the Punisher and the Kingpin. Their main purpose is to find and eliminate silvermane. Now deosnt THAT read way more interesting that what we are seeing in this show? Now to be fair I didn't pay attention to any new premises and comics that came out after the original ones from the 80's. But I gotta say for a couple of very cool characters in the Marvel universe this show does not do them justice.

Just watched the first episode. I am a little confused at the beginning of the storyline here. In the original movie storyline the Skeksies and the Mystics were one being who through their arrogance and decadence, split into two versions of themselves and cracked the crystal(which turned it purple-The darkening I guess). Then the war breaks out and Gelflings are rendered extinct(or so we think). Now this beginning storyline states that the Skeksies came from another world and influenced the inhabitants of the planet to gain control of the Crystal of Truth etc etc. Now I have not watched any of the other episodes as of yet so maybe I need to watch further but it still perplexes me that this is what the beginning storyline is. So far I like the effects and the puppet-tronics here. This was one of my favorite movies growing up so its nice to see it rekindled in a series.
