Honestly I kind of hate how much I love this show. There are many obvious issues with it as far as relying too heavily on racism, homophobia, transphobia, and sexism for humor (mostly through the character Pierce, which they acknowledge as being problematic, but always blow it off as "that's just how he is") as kind of a copout as well as dangerous stereotypes and overused tropes/character dynamics. However, there are some legitimately hilarious moments (especially those involving Troy and Abed, who are my absolute favorite), and I love the special episodes with paintball and various other antics. And contrary to what I said earlier, there is pretty good representation. The Dean is confirmed pansexual, and quite possibly gender-queer, the study group is formed of pretty much every religion (or lack thereof), and quite a few ethnicities and nationalities represented. I've watched the full show probably about 4 or 5 times at this point, and it's perfect to have on in the background or if you don't want to watch something heavy. Because even within the comedy genre, there's often a lot of heavy topics and drama, but in Community, everything is so ridiculous and surprisingly entertaining, it's perfect to just watch to relax or fall asleep to. Seasons 5 and 6 are pretty disappointing and far from the original premise, but entertaining nonetheless, and it's still something you just can't stop watching.
