I could not tell if the bad effects were part of the gimmick or to be taken seriously. The French actress who made her character interesting in Now You See Me, was very boring here, so I am going to blame the director for the bad acting overall. All I can say.....cute movie. But I discovered Mr Reynold's schtick, he moves his eyebrows up and down when he speaks...... LOL
