I watched this movie with my wife tonight and I couldn't wait for it to end. There is NO character development, the script is nonsensical and the writer's efforts to give the story a "whimsical" feel fall completely flat. The "Wizard Of Oz" has a whimsical feel, this plot line is just puerile. The efforts at "shock value" also fail to redeem the film, if anything they impede any character development. Emma Stone certainly does the best she can with what she's been given, but she has been given very little. This film is a bit like "The Emperor's New Clothes," no one wants to admit the Emperor is naked, STARK naked. Don't get sucked in by the reviews, this is a horrible excuse for a movie. I want my money back!
