I lost interest after 20 minutes. It highlights what white America is interested in portraying, investigating, and solving. Although I empathize with the father’s pain, he committed many things that were illegal and borderline racist without facing consequences. You can easily see how the black community was suffering due to the crack pandemic, trauma from every category...I noticed how it’s placed as almost a backdrop for the film...I had to turn off the TV right after that. It’s very difficult watching children and a community become crippled because of racism, crack, and social-economic factors yet cast aside.
