I don’t ever leave reviews on movies. But THIS movie makes you want to shout out to everyone you know that YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO SEE THIS!! Congratulations Judy Blume!!! I was so worried that the movie would not live up to the book. I woke up today and immediately remembered that this was the day I had anticipated for so long! Most of my friends work during the day, so I bought a ticket for myself at the first showing at 1:30. I have never went to a movie by myself before, but was very excited to see this movie without distractions. I am so grateful for this incredible experience! Being early afternoon, I almost had the theater to myself. I’m grateful that the theater was dark and I was by myself. No need to “fake sneeze” to hide the tears that came during those moments when the memories flowed over. All my favorite memories from reading the book were included. After experiencing what happened with another beloved book from my childhood when it became a movie,I was really nervous. No need at all!! What a beautiful movie from start to finish! I can’t wait to see it again and again and share it with my children! Thank you so much Judy! As someone who has always aspired to be a writer, the only sad part of this experience was the fact that I didn’t write it myself. Thank you for holding out all these years to make sure that the movie was made to reflect how amazing the book was! ❤️ you forever! #WeMustWeMustWeMustIncreaseOurBust
