This was suggested to me as a free download after kindle didn’t have the book I wanted. I downloaded it, and although it was free I paid for it big time. This was the single worst written book I’ve ever read. It’s so bad it was almost comically entertaining. Ignoring all the plot and character issues(there are many) it’s really the shockingly bad writing that does it. I can’t comprehend how a professional publisher actually read this and said “yeah that looks good”. It doesn’t make sense. The dialogue, and characters internal monologue that most of the book is written in, is just so far removed from how any actual person would talk. I read once about a kid that was abandoned and raised by wolves and fails to ever really grasp how humans interact, even as an adult when he re-enters society. If that kid wrote a book this is how it would read. Just 300 pages of a failure to portray anything resembling realistic human interaction. 1/5 is generous
