This movie is not perfect. I could go on about what 'could' have happened, or problems with the message and the redundant foreshadowing, but I won't. Because despite it's flaws, this movie is a joy to experience. I don't understand why people don't like Emily Blunt's performance. Sure, she was closer to the book Mary, but why is that a bad thing? She wanted to be closer to the books, and she did that beautifully, while still staying true to Mary's roots. The songs, while not as iconic as the original's, were amazingly sung with fantastic choreography. Despite the movie's shortcomings, I still left with a smile on my face, because of how charming and magical the movie ended up being. It isn't perfect, but I highly recommend it.
