It could have been great with a discerning editor/co-writer (particularly the narration), & a more sensitive actor to play Donny. Some scenes were shot brilliantly. I like that there’s complexity & like most humans his actions don’t always make sense, but it did feel distractingly self indulgent after a few episodes.
