(TLDR AT THE BOTTOM) So let me see here, not even 5 minutes in and I'm watching cockroaches have sex?? - Unbelievably lazy writing, jokes were awful and forced, irony was too literal, I couldn't watch past the 8 minute marker and that was after I skipped ahead 3 to see if it got any better. It didn't. This show has thrown everything "entertainment" means into the garbage disposal and focuses more on political and Social Justice issues that are hugely over-pushed by politics and media, instead of aiming towards a show guided by intelligence and understanding. Cannon or not, turning every character into a Class A D***head, 𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝟏𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 (𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰), kids drug dealing, leaves me to wonder where the "mystery" is to be had other than what was in the heads of whoever decided on the plot of this show. Another down side, they replaced shaggy with "Norville", at that point why would you feel the need to replace the race of three people of the original gang? Why not just make your own spin off with new characters of different races to have diversity? I'm pretty centered when it comes to politics, so when I see a childhood series favorite of mine being ruined before my very eyes by SJWs, it's pretty painful. — TLDR; If you're looking for modern entertainment with a hint of nostalgia, THIS IS NOT THE SHOW YOU WANT.
