A hard dull watch. No real personality and the scenes feel oddly numbing. Like the voice actors were on ambien while recording this. It's hard to watch a comedy that delivers no laughs and this one is definitely painful in that regard. Adult animation has a weird criteria that it needs to be filled with hateful characters, everyone being terrible to each other and characters being oblivious. Captain fall checks all these boxes with a main character who is hard to care about as his only personality is to be the willing loser. Like desperately needs to be a loser, no other quality. If there's a moment to write him as an actual person, no, him being written as a gullible loser takes up everything. It's tiring to watch and goes no where. I somewhat have a problem believing this was written by people. I can only think that it had a lot of producer and exec interference to make it as by the numbers as possible. I'd say this fits well into the pile of copy and paste unimaginative adult animation shows streaming services are cranking out. Right next to mulligan, agent Elvis and anything else that really doesn't try to step out of the box, say anything or be entertaining.
