I’m not sure about casting so many non Caucasian actors in what would appear to be superior positions within the royal courts, would this have been true to the times? Violent scenes however were possibly more in keeping with what we know from history. Mary queen of Scots would also have had more of a French dialect than a Scottish one. The cinematography was excellent, the costumes of the men rather drab in contrast to both Queens. Stunning locations.
