The Hollywood style is peak in this movie. The sets, the stars, the camerawork, the lighting, the screenplay and the dialog. Everything in this movie is a prime example of how to do a movie. For a film that deals with running from the nazis, the entire movie hinges on the amazing acting performances and very little actual action. Character acting at its finest with some of the most quoted lines in movie history. A true classic.

Man Bites Dog is a visceral, uncompromising ride through the annals of a pure sociopath killer, charming and shocking at the same time. Shot in black and white, the imagery is even darker and more disturbing as you're constantly feeling pressed against cold water when the sound of a gun blares into the screen. The humor is dry and biting as hell, cynical and hilarious, complimented with some of the most unapologetic scenes of violence put to film. This is a hard dose of cinema but a masterclass in directing, action, dialog and screenwriting. You will leave the viewing thinking about it and you will not stop talking about it amongst your friends. If you can stomach it, this is one of the best films for a mature audience.
