As a person of south Asian heritage, I am very disappointed with the lack of effort from Disney to finally produce a film that is at the same caliber as other feature films in their collection. If you search all the other 1 star reviews they sum up all my biggest disappointments in this film. But the most obvious and most pathetic is the complete lack of use of the different languages from South Asia! The only reason I have expectations so high is because Disney has made me accustomed to that. But this film is a roaring failure and I can’t even give you any reason to watch it. Watch Crazy Rich Asians again, you’ll learn more from that movie about asians than Raya and the Last Ditch Effort. Fail.
