I'loving the thought process behind this series. There are so many subtle bits and pieces of culture that, if one has done some studying beforehand, one is able to see that bit of culture "fleshed out". It becomes much more than a scholarly piece of information. I enjoy the completeness of the characters as created by the writers. I am grateful that, when Scripture, as spoken by the character, is used, it is spoken in a normal, conversational voice. This, as opposed to how we tend to use a "Scripture voice" when reading Scripture aloud. Both my wife and I enjoy the humor inserted in the scenes, "I thought you said it was crooked" comes readily to mind. Yeah, I could go on and on...
