The movie was entertaining, but it felt rushed. Despite Beetlejuice being the main character, the focus shifted to a supposedly "complex" relationship between Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega, leaving Beetlejuice with minimal screen time. However, Michael Keaton made the most of what little he was given, delivering a memorable performance.
The new villain's role was unclear, and the addition of a death-world police chief seemed pointless. Their scenes didn’t seem to contribute anything to the plot, and I honestly believe if those scenes were cut, it wouldn't affect the movie at all.
Overall, the plot lacked coherence. It felt more like a series of disconnected moments rather than a cohesive story.
