Players need to go into this exp keeping in mind that this is the first after a 10 year story arc. It can not and never intended to illicit the same emotional responses of Shadowbringer and Endwalker. That's doesn't make it a failure. You wouldn't review a book after reading only the first chapter, and you shouldn't count out an mmo based on the first expansion in a new multi year arc. Yes, the story is driven by Wuk Lamat, and no, not everyone is going to like or love every character. Wuk Lamat is supposed to come across as immature at first, but a large part of the story is witnessing her character grow and develop as she learns more about the diverse cultures of her would be kingdom (and beyond) The graphics update is very welcome, but if you're expecting a completely new look to the game this isn't what it is nor is it what was promised. The goal was to upgrade lighting and textures but they weren't going for hyper realism, and again they never promised that. Now metal looks like metal, velvet looks like velvet, leather looks like leather, etc.
