Interesting story and lore building that challenges the received wisdom on the Force (or the Thread). I always welcome Star Wars media that explores the witches and different 'force using' cultures. Osha and her twin sister Mae are compelling. Some characters stand out more than others, like Sol for example. Yord is a bit wooden. The dialogue isn't always so punchy or significant (could do better with characterisation for example) but nothing egregious like some poor reviews would have you believe. I think the trailer was a bit misleading perhaps. I wonder how many 1 star reviews are just politically motivated review bombs versus how many have actually given the show a go? Star Wars is an all age franchise and reaches a wide audience and is set in a galaxy far far away. I think Acolyte is a breath of fresh air personally.
