Up until the final two episodes, the surly judges (with their negativity and aloof behavior) made the right calls on who should go. Quickly that changed when choosing what should have been the 4th place contestant at the top of the list. I was baffled on their final decisions. Their champion has little range, constantly turning in the same type of work with the least amount of vision...which probably speaks to the judges abilities as well, considering their lack of style and limited creative thinking. If the show wants to turn it around, they have to consider ditching the two judges -they're just not likable people, simple as that. Also, requiring "resource management" (leading a team) as a condition to win a metal fabrication competition is not a good choice. That skill has very, very little to do with anything related to being the best contestant -it's a totally different world. To merge them together and then be judged on how you delegate is bizarre. I suppose they wanted to emulate Face Off (which uses previously cut contestants as their helpers) but it backfired as these helpers were total strangers. I wanted to like this show, but can't. The show betrayed itself and the viewers with poor judge selection and a final criteria which doesn't line up with the overall skill set. That said, with new judges I'll watch it again.
