This is my all time favorite show! I have watched each episode at least five times! Every minute is entertaining and never loses my interest! The characters mesh so well together to create a perfect balance! That being said each character also has a unique personality that develops throughout all eight seasons. There’s a reason so many episodes were made! Reading through the other reviews, it seems the main issue other people have are the sparatic racist comments. Psych is a light-hearted comedy. Whatever comment made (mostly by Shawn) is in frivolity. The characters do not actually submit to racism. It is apparent that the actor playing Gus (Dulé Hill) is not offended by the nicknames given to him by the character of Shawn. Some people also can not handle the immaturity of various characters. I think that is a very valid argument and it comes down to viewer preference. I myself enjoy watching films of education and substance, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a light-hearted show. Truthfully sometimes I don’t want to think. After a long day, it helps me to relax to view something solely for entertainment. That is my preference. It is not everyone’s, and that I understand. I am saying this to hopefully help someone not miss out because of the critical comments. I enjoy psych because of its lightheartedness and very minimal sexual scenes. If you are considering psych, let me be the first to say that if you watch it, you will not regret it!
