Watched this movie for the first time today. Found it somewhat disturbing by how the va & us treated many returning veterans. When I was 17, I enlisted in the us army. This movie helped illustrate how things could have turned out for me or any other service member. This movie helped show how differently troops were being treated, despite all of the propaganda of how things would be ok if we were to become sick or wounded. I know things have improved a bit since this movie came out, but I can imagine switch places with the actual Ron Kovic. To all veterans that have ever served their country, thank you for your esteemed patriotism & selfless service to this great country that we all call the USA; the home of the brave & land of the free.
