The only good thing about this film are the performances of Grace and Nivin. A wannabe comedy-of-errors that gets everything wrong right from the moment the couple step into the hotel. It was sad to see that the film was filled with annoying performances from the very talented supporting cast like Jaffer Idduki and Vinay Fort. A woman says the most vile things to another woman unprovoked and it is somehow magically forgiven at the end because she was on her periods. The entire supporting cast failed miserably in making the audience laugh.

A landmark in Malayalam cinema visually. Entirely shot on phones, this engaging thriller adds new life to an old concept. And yet, till the end, the viewer is given no clue as to what the end could possibly be. Fahad is outstanding as always and the Roshan - Darshana duo does not disappoint. There’s a small chance the end could possibly disappoint you, but this is still a MUST WATCH.

I don’t know what it is about this movie. Though it justifies it’s tag of a feel good drama, it somehow fails to provide a complete viewing experience. The first half seems a bit stretched, the emotions played out fails to tug on your heartstrings and you overall do not seem to connect with the characters. The comedy is not the best Tovino could do. And most importantly, when it comes to road movies,I feel the character development has to pan out in such a way, that at the end of the movie the viewers have to feel like they’ve just ended the ride along with the leads and they could truly feel happy about the pair getting together. But here, it almost seems like there was a barrier between Tovino and India throughout the movie and at the end it was just abruptly taken away. I also felt that Sidhartha’s addition to the movie, took away from the wonderful chemistry the lead pair could have possibly had. Unlike films like Koode or Kumblangi nights, the film doesn’t seem as magical as it ought to be. All in all, a ONE TIME WATCH.

Hands down, the BEST INDIAN WAR FILM EVER. The usual trend that is seen with Indian war films is an overdose of patriotism every five minutes of the movie, without actually working on the script, the action scenes or the cinematography. However, in this movie, the patriotism is subtle yet powerful. The messages in this script are interwoven and yet leave a more lasting impact (Like the scene where Vicky Kaushal overlooks the soldiers doing Namaz). Action scenes are well shot and are well in touch with the changing scenery of fight choreography in the country. No unnecessary songs or a romantic subplot (thank god!!). Vicky has nailed his role with the right amount of seriousness, sentimentality and raw emotion. All in all, a MUST WATCH
