Honestly I freaking love the writing in this game and the characters are some of the most realistic I've ever seen. The only backlash I see is the same kind that Breaking Bad received by people who hated Skylar just cause she was annoying without acknowledging the great writing that went into her. This game takes serious taboo topics such as asd, obsessive manipulation, and humanizes them without actually justifying or promoting them. It is realistic to how situations similar to it in real life come to happen and the only exaggerations I noticed were only used to drive the point home instead of just giving shock value like most games do. Honestly I'd never had this much fun with a game in ages.
