The most depressing movie/series I've seen in quite a while.
Though the acting was good a couple of wild, desperate, inconceivable turns in the middle of this anti-American dystopia prodded me to action, and I turned it OFF for eternity.

It is a unique plot I will say that; hence the 1.5 stars.
Aside from that this movie has nothing to offer society.. no hope, no understanding, no inspiration, no new and inproved perspective.
Just dull, depressing, and hopeless.
Thanks for nothing Philip Roth and those who produced this worthless movie. Can't believe it was available at a public library.
Senseless.

A very mediocre book from one of my all-time favorite authors. A kind of biography with no foundation (early development), not much historical background, and (aside from Bolivar) no character development. Perhaps GGM tried to be too true to the historical accounts?
On the plus side I liked that there was a mental (especially memory) AND physical journey occuring throughout this work. And with GGM the sentence construction and dialogue were/are next level as storytelling goes.
I only wish that I cared more for the content; and that the background imagery was more evocative, more indicative of GGM's greatness.

This is obviously a Charlie Chaplin knock-off.. and a poor one at that.
Disappointing because I rather liked Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
