Some overdone ideas mixed with touches of originality. There are plot holes, story line issues ect... But I'm particularly impressed with the actors. From Momoa giving an often powerful portrayal of a warrior chieftain without the ego that has brought down societies throughout time to minor, one time roles played by actors giving everything to their character. I don't know if it's the casting department or directors who deserve the credit but the performances make the show watchable even when the storyline is predictable or derivative. And... Alfre Woodard. That's enough to warrant watching in itself.
