Beautiful book. I liked that the 3 sections were 3 sections in time from the viewpoint of 3 different people. I cared about the protagonists and felt their pain keenly. It was like being carried on a wave of story line.
However, i found it a bit gushing at times, especially from Emmett who seemed too overly romantic and soppy at times although relatively poor, a young man and brought up to be a practical farmer.
It has been mentioned before, but I think the historical setting, and crusades and more on binding itself would have given this a more interesting depth. Elevating it from Chick-Lit.
