Good film. Pretty ground breaking concept. First of many films about using controversial next level technology, to share brain wave patterns, memories, senses, dreams and supernatural experiences. Inevitable government take over and horrific misuse of the tech. Acting was a little uneven. Not sure Christopher Walken was the best choice to play a scientist. The rest of the cast was fine. Tech looked very real for the time and plausible. Visual Effects were pretty basic but the visions of hell and heaven were impressive for the time. I would still watch it today almost 40 years later.
