Deviates too much from beloved books. Feels like a public network show (I can feel where a commercial break would fit) lacking the depth and imagery a story like this deserves. I am surprised Branden Sanderson is associated...the liberties taken and the entire innocence of the characters is missing. One of my favorite characters (Matt) is like the beginning of Golem (from LOTR) when he was so witty and fun in the books. His story so far is a crime, in my opinion. So is Perrin’s. I am so dismayed by this adaptation...from Suan and Morraine, to inventing who is Ta’veran, to the daggar, and just the laziness of stealing Game of Thrones feel and not doing a good job with explaining the Aes Sedei and different Ajas (sp?). And WTH is this depiction of the dark one? Looks like Nicholas Cage in that motorcycle fire guy movie (cannot remember name). I mean that is tragically funny. So disappointed. Was so excited to see this come to life....I just dont think Robert Jordan would be proud. Oh I forgot the wrongfulness of the Ogier depiction...In the book, Loyl (sp) fits books in his pocket and scared Rand he was so tall..not to mention the long brows Ogier are said to have. This may be a good place where CGI could be used to make the race true to description. Another favorite character I cannot get past based on shocking depiction. Awful.
