I’m all for sharing various groups, so nothing against there being various LGBTQ storylines.
My only problem with this entire series is that it’s a multiverse continuation, which makes no sense or least does not extend my disbelief. How can all these horror things happen to the same people?
What the 90s show did so well is it took the kids horror which had an element of silliness to it but still very much in cliche horror themes. Then it made each episode one of the books and cleverly condensed it down to the roots. This is too much of a teen drama and trying to be more clever than it truly is. All we wanted was a more grown up version of the stories, to re tell the 90s but made for an older audience. It seems to rush through any horror theme yo get back to the romance.
Stranger things shows how you can blend the two successfully, well keeping the horror threat and continual nature working.
For goosebumps the very nature of the stories works with a conclusion, it’s almost like a horror joke. The new series doesn’t have the punchline because it continues on . Only managed two episodes , episode 4 and 1 and it really drags !
