I happened upon this show yesterday and was very encouraged by the new talent in the production.
I originally binged the show and after watching it, decided it was okay, in terms of violence and language for my 8 year old (who doesn’t understand Hindi- but can follow the subtitles), to take a look.
He was transfixed by the plot.
He was quite stunned at the end of the season- as was I as the plot moves very fast.
On reflection- much more development (as raised by other reviewers) ‘could’ occur if the shows were a full hour.
Despite this wider points of the plot enabled us to have a range of discussions around pressure, choices and consequences.
The short nature of each episode, therefore allows it to be a show for kids and parents to watch together - which unfortunately can not be said for many other Netflix shows.
Our favourites were the scenes with the Deity, and the quirkiness of the struggling Headmistress,
