Gulliver's Ghost is both a murder mystery and a ghost story. Parts of the book tell the tale of Cut-Throat Gulliver, an English pirate who plundered shipping and farm communities on the Bay of Fundy on Canada's east coast in the 1700s. Other parts of the book tell of the murders, in modern-day Nova Scotia, of two American treasure hunters seeking Gulliver's buried gold. RCMP (the Mounties) Inspector Matt Lasalle and his Constable are trying to find and save the life of a third treasure hunter. A prime suspect in the murder investigation is a Toronto photographer on a tour of the province who wakes up in a motel room without a memory of how he got there. The novel moves at a good pace with a lot of fascinating detail about the province of Nova Scotia and Gulliver's Cove, the pirate headquarters where Gulliver's wife murdered the pirate. It ends in a cavern haunted, perhaps, by Gulliver who has guarded his gold over four centuries. A unique thriller full of suspense and intrigue.
