This show would honestly make a lot more sense if it was about immortals trying to function normally like modern people and failing. Miserably. Seventeen and eighteen year olds running a rum production, owning and running a youth club, constantly ignoring restraining orders, involved with cults and just going back to everyday life when it's convenient, keeping a corpse in a house for probably a month plus, holding one's own mother hostage and only letting her out with blackmail to run a club, running a gang that's just there as a background piece now, doing some vigilantism on the side, and don't forget fleeing the town for I forget how long because one of the father's has been trying to kill them. Repeatedly. This is all stuff the seventeen and eighteen year olds are doing.
This show might still be interesting if it had any roots in any semblance of reality, or if it was about immortals just failing to fit into normal/modern society.
Also, the only thing related to the Archie comics in this show is the names of the characters and the location now.
Season one of this show was AMAZING, binged it in a night. Season two was fantastic, happily watched it over a weekend. Season three was interesting, but weird and lacking (for me). Season four is the WORST and honestly I cannot wait for it to be over, it's so bad. After season four I won't watch this anymore and I dread the next episode, but I've seen so much of the season and there's supposedly only four episodes left of the season.
