Great story, phenomenal performance by Viggo.Mortensen,.captivating film, well directed and accurately depicted racial tension in that era. One of.the most powerful moments in tbe film is when the Cello player reveals why Dr. Shirley subjects himself to abusive discrimination, degradation and hatred - the lesson here is resounding and monumental in its impact - it takes courage to.change the attitudes and generally accepted behavior of a society. Would not be surprised if this film gets multiple Academy Award nominations.
