"I wanna be Santa Claus", a brilliant album by non other then the amazing, worlds greatest drummer Ringo Starr.
Especially coming up to the Christmas season, this album is a must pick for all.
Ringo Starr has always written good music. Ever since he was in 'The Beatles', with songs such as; "Octopus's Garden", and "Don't pass me by". Until now, with 20 studio albums and many more live and EPs. All of Ringo's music is a different musical experience that gives off a different emotion each time you listen to it.
This specific album carries the Christmas theme perfectly. "I wanna be santa claus" is an essential album for the Christmas season.
This album started off a little strange to me personally. Because I was expecting an album that was much more like Christmas carols, this album started off strange. However, after listening to this album fully, I have discovered that the start to this album "Come on Christmas", is the perfect start to this rock and roll Christmas album.
This album also carries many nostalgic memories by doing covers of classic Christmas songs and carols, such as; "The little drummer boy", and "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer". These covers are also, in my opinion, are much better then the originals. These covers give a perfect example of a rock and roll Christmas.
This album has 12 songs on it, and each and every one of them is a perfect fit to this album. This album is often seen as the worst Ringo Starr album, which I highly disagree with. However, it is hard for me to say which Starr album would be the worst, and honestly, I think it would be impossible for me to rank them. Because as stated before, each and every different album carries a different atmosphere and emotion.
I wanna be santa claus by Ringo Starr is a master piece of an album, a perfect 10/10 for the Christmas season and if i'm being realistic an 8/10 for the whole album.
All the melodies, drums, and singing in this album really work together to make the perfect Christmas Rock Album.
