I loved Ready Player one. It’s actually my Favorite book. I found Ready Player Two to be agonizing in some places where there was a vomiting Wikipedia style 80s trivia. This trivia often had no relevance to the story. It was as if the publisher or some contract said, “you need to have more pages in this book”. This book has its moments of new content and intriguing plot twists, but not many. I think if the author took out 50% of the irrelevant 80s facts and swapped in mor character building in their real lives, the book could have been another hit.
