Nancy Murray

The film is exquisitely beautiful, visually satisfying. However, cadence and formality of the film prevented full character development and they are somewhat stiff and aloof. I was not emotionally connected. And a more light-hearted sub-text would have been a welcome break. Crack a joke, why don't you, for God's sake. So lugubrious. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it very much even though I got bored with the pomp and circumstance in the last 15 minutes. All in all, it satisfied my Dune fix. Can't wait for #2.
