Some really powerful songs here that reach right inside you, especially if the experiences contained in her (as usual) superb lyrics resonate with you.

A very different album from his others at the time, one which I didn't really "get into" back then but now (in my vintage perhaps) can truly appreciate - one wonders what he was going through at the time wrt some of the lyrics.

I haven't read the original book/comic - was the gay male relationship part of it if so? (even if it was, I don't see why we have to see it portrayed as vividly as we do, spoilt it for me.. there are some straight heterosexuals out here after all!)

Really enjoyed this - after the usual slow start "getting into it" - the scene with the polar bear in the last episode was terrific filming and watching.

Glad I never worked in the financial industry (engineering was bad enough)!
Seems to me that she ultimately is as "bad" as he is, if not more so, in trying to save her (career) bottom by totally lying to her boss about their relationship - that was really nasty, look at yourself in the mirror too lady.
In short, what a false and pretentious world that must be to live in.

Was this film sponsored by the Labour party? I simply could not believe the deeply patronising and completely out-of-context unnecessary ending, whilst overall it presented a very one-sided political viewpoint. Talk about playing on people's emotions. And what a real opportunity was missed to more properly debate and address Jennifer S's nurse actions. Do please go see it though, it certainly strikes many a chord within.
