The apparitions are mostly happening in the persons psyche, but since we cannot see inside of their heads they have to show us. There ARE NO GHOST in this show. The white man in the hat refers to the patriarchal are of white supremacy, the white woman apparition refers to the matriarchy arm of white supremacy. Tap Dance man represents the character of the black man the white man created, the stereotypes we try to avoid have nothing to do with us it also represents the pent of rage of having to constantly live in duality due being surrounded by a racist society. The white girl is ruby's own pysche MANY black girls went through or are currently going through a identity crisis due to european standards of beauty being the so called standard here. Still some black women most who will never admit it equate beauty with european standards.. america has made billions off selling marylin monroe tshirts and framed pictures to black women. and its starts with the subliminal suggestion that their natural features are not good enough. Not to mention the colorism we fight through within are own race which is a huge biproduct of racism. The psychological warfare played on us is ASTOUNDING. Still to this day they control us with celebrities, because we see celebrities avoiding relationships with their own kind some of us view that as reality when its far from the truth. 85% of the time black people are in relationships with other black people. This show is remarkable. It is something you will never forget watching, and it separates the weak from the strong.
