Don't listen to the critics. The viewing length is long, but it's a great film. It obviously sets up the rest of the story that is intended to appear in future chapters. The initial story covers several storylines and characters, which requires the viewer to pay attention. I loved the film and can't wait to get into the next chapter. As others have stated, Costner could have released these as a miniseries or a single-season television show like Sheridan did with Yellowstone 1883. I saw glimpses of the dynamics that many pioneers likely faced during westward expansion. Costner even gives us a glimpse into how the Native American's carried opposing views about how to coexist with the incoming pioneers. I'm curious to see how these stories play out in future chapters.

Ignore the haters. I've read many poor reviews for Dr Jones' swan song. I don't get it. I enjoyed the movie and thought it was a great ending to the story. The media is determined to bury this as some huge flop. 9/10 stories I see are condemning the film. Apparently Indy's not woke enough for the media outlets. Go see the film and enjoy the entertainment.

GBG is probably the most moving film I've ever seen. I've watched it several times and will stop if I ever see it on TV. I started my teaching career working in a juvenile institutional setting. I worked directly with kids that come from homes like Amanda's. My heart is still with those kids. I'm sure that's why the movie impacts me as much as it does today. I've never been to Dorchester but I'd love to someday. I'm a huge fan of Ben Affleck's Boston movies. The Town is incredible as well. Harry Gregson-Williams' score is perfect in both films.
