Wow, I really enjoyed this movie/musical! I cried. I laughed. I celebrated. Fantasia deserves an Oscar! When tears rolled down Fantasia's face, I felt her pain. Her acting was phenomenal! She was Celie to the 10th degree! There were times during the movie that I wasn't the only one in the theater claping! Also, I didn't know that Taraji P. Henson could sing like that! You go girl! Yep, you, Taraji, deserve an Oscar too! The whole cast was great! I'm looking forward to seeing The Color Purple - movie/musical again on saturday. Thanks Oprah Winfrey and all others who helped bring this production to the big screen!
