Clichéd Western. Wasted cast. To introduce tension, the script has Hickok experiencing the onset of blindness. Bruce Dern is laughable as an alcoholic doctor dispensing home spun philosophy on Hickok's future unless he changes careers. Trace Adkins is a curmudgeonly cheating saloon owner who growls his role...he never rises to the level of acting...he 'postures' slouchily as if imitating his vision of how an actor 'acts'. An aging Kris Kistofferson waxes poetic about the demons in one's life. The pseudo-psychological elements are an embarrassment. Finally, there is ample gun play that is so unbelievably macho that it to is eventually another embarrassment. A 2 star rating is more than generous. I didn't last through the 'showdown' I had suffered enough
