Huge fan of Need for Speed games - played everything from NFS:Underground1 all the way to this one... Let me try to do a small recap on what REALLY BOTHERS ME alot.
Many people want to criticize NFS2015 and NFS Payback for being "cringy" - referring to the cinematics and the dialog between the characters in the game, a game that featured KEN BLOCK and AKIRA NAKAI, a game that was nothing more than pure racing? That's cringy, but this one is okay?
NFS Payback introduce the Koenisegg Ragera in a very NICE and different way involving the Mob, and a highway-highjack, that and the car list was not good enough? even tho the other 2 games that came after lirerally copy everything.
This game - NFS: Unbound is literally a PARODY of a racing game.
The animated characters i'll understand, its almost nice and interesting but the goofy dialogs in cutsceens and DURING A RACE?
The "graffiti" effects on the cars? - that you CAN'T TURN OFF ?!
All of it is Mastercalss of C R I N G E
The whole game has a weird and way too much childish vibe to it,
like they tried to draw an audience that is 8~10 years old.. I don't get it, can't understand how this game ended up in this mess...
(P.S. NFS HEAT is Top#3 right there with NFS:MW and the Undergrounds)
