Such a good, good movie, and phenomenal introduction to Kang Dynasty. It really felt like an Avengers level movie and that's something that I think people were really doubtful on, in a movie with someone like Ant-Man going against the MCUs next big bad. The pacing was on point, the humor was appropriate and balanced well with the seriousness of the plot, and landed well every time. Each character had an important role to play and I was really taken away with how incredible the Quantum Realm was created. Definitely gave Star Wars-y vibes, but in a good way.
I felt like the movie really did a great job of redirecting after all of the issues with Doctor Strange MoM and Thor L+T... I enjoyed both movies overall, but I can definitely align with a lot of the biggest complaints... Doctor Strange was too much in too little a movie and really dropped the ball on the Illuminati. Thor L+T was too comical, so much humor that wasn't needed and didn't land well. Ant-Man Quantumania really took us back to that comedic/action balance AND tied everything together perfectly (including Loki!!!). I felt the weight and the danger of what is to come, while getting into all of the action, and enjoying all of the character development and quirkiness of the Lang/Pym fam.
I mean, come on, Cassey calls Hank and Janet, grandpa and grandma now! I love that
Good good movie! Excited for the journey forward for the MCU
