Mary Ann Bartholomew

I enjoyed reading this book as having grown up in a small town I could relate to many of the events & developments that took place in the town, as well as the work habits & traditional family values that were a given. It was like a step back in time - a good time. One of the most interesting segments delt with the author's experience of having polio at the age of 10 - how he & his brother both survived the disease, a disease not understood back then & is no longer an issue today.
