I liked the main character before this show, but her portrayal of this unrealistic satire is horrific. It’s insecure, minus 8 years, + bad acting, meets unrealistic black characters. The show is offensive in many facets. I would rather watch any slapstick 90’s, 00’s comedy over this... and I’m black. Furthermore, that Y2K Friends and fresh prince era is the most cringe to me, more so than the 80’s. Overall very disappointed and definitely a downgrade from blackish. This social justice warrior show is lackluster and unrealistic as it pertains to the life experiences of a college girl of the main characters age in real life. If any bp under 30 says they like this show, question their judgement. Rotton tomatoes had to be paid for their rating or it just reflects the first season.
