I saw the story on dateline or another true crime show. I couldn’t believe how gullible and naive this woman was then and I still can’t believe it now. Sure, John was manipulative BUT come on...after two months she married him?? And let him install cameras everywhere?? And let him take her money?? The signs were there and she stayed...and ignored her daughters. She just seems too dumb with no common sense. Do people like her really exist? Oh...and this was her fourth marriage (or fifth I can’t remember). On another note, Connie does a great job making Debra Newell look clueless and ditsy.

Wow. Never realized how evil he was. Maybe some of the movie was fabricated, but the facts are there also. Shame on people for supporting him. Good for Joe Gargan for estranging himself from the family.
